'Heroes' save little boy from flood waters.
Jennie Thacker and Jessie Kingan have been called heroes and angels sent by God, but the way they see it, they were just at the right place at the right time."It was just an instant thing we did that probably anybody would have done," Thacker said. Because they did, a 4-year-old boy is alive.

Rhonda Laurice Webb Pippin, 63, of Woodworth, passed away in her residence on July 31, 2016. Memorial Services were held in Bolton Chapel of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Alexandria, LA.
Sarah Ray , 50, of Pulaski, Tennessee, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, August 2, 2016.Memorial services were held Saturday, August 13, 2016 in the White Oaks Memorial Chapel, Oakdale, LA.
Preston Willis, 66, of Oakdale, entered eternal rest on August 2, 2016 and burial was in Occupy #2 Cemetery, Pitkin, LA.
Ronald "Ronnie" Golmon Sr, age 81, of Boyce, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, August 4, 2016 at his residence. Interment was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Pollock, LA.

Kathy Lynn Robinson, 60, of Hineston, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2016 and was interred in Elisha Memorial Cemetery, Glenmora, LA.

Melba Estelle Melder Rhame, 92, of Lynn Haven, Fla., passed away on Wednesday Aug. 31, 2016. She was born Aug. 2, 1924, in Glenmora, La., to Jesse and Ida Myers Melder.
